Room at the Top is one of the best views of the Edmonton skyline you can find on campus. This unique restaurant offers a 270 degree panoramic view of the University of Alberta campus, downtown Edmonton and the river valley.
You have the ability to customize your event to any budget and occasion with options for fullly catered events, host bars, or a "cash" kitchen and bar.
With 16 rotating taps and a tasty menu, Room at the Top is the perfect place to entertain. We commonly host event after-parties, team pub nights, trivia and karaoke nights as well as the occasional wedding!
Any private space reservation requires a full venue rental.
Our special discounts are offered to officially registered Student Groups who are eligible for certain rebates and waived fees. Please contact us at bookings@horowitzevents.ca for more information on rates.
- You may opt for a private event to be ticketed. All ticketing is facilitated through the Horowitz Events Centre. Tickets can be printed or sold online through Eventbrite. There are associated fees and costs with both methods, please view our Ticketing Sheet for more details.
- Printed ticket distribution and sales and registration methods are managed by the event host.
- Room at the Top is an 18+ establishment and government issued ID and ONEcard will be required for admittance.
- Up to 5 external/non-affiliated guests may accompany you per ONEcard. 1 ONEcard = 5 friends!

No outside food or drink is permitted - birthday/wedding cakes can be made an exception. Room at the Top will provide all catering services.
Yes - Room at the Top's kitchen and bar can be open for service during private events. Guests can purchase on their own, or a tab can be setup for the host.

Room at the Top is available Sunday to Thursday for private bookings. It is not available on Fridays.
May to August
Room at the Top is generally available. Please inquire for our summer schedule.
- Holds may be placed in the calendar up to 13 months in advance.
- Room at the Top is a members only licenced venue and is open to University of Alberta students/staff/alumni and their guests. Valid ONEcards are required. Per ONEcard, 5 guests may be escorted. External clients are still able to book events, please contact us for more information.
- Catering is only available in-house.
