Whether you envision your wedding as a large celebration or an intimate gathering, our experienced team can help you bring your memorable affair to life.

As an all-inclusive event space, the Horowitz Events Centre provides professional onsite venue management, first-class catering, fully serviced bars, experienced event staff, integrated AV/sound, and banquet furnishings. We would also be happy to provide a curated list of recommended vendors that will help you achieve your vision.

Choose one of our packages and mix and match our venue spaces, and our coordinators will assist you in finalizing all the details for your big day. In addition to our comprehensive packages, we offer a variety of additions to help eliminate the stress of planning. If you’re looking for something more customized, speak with a member of our team for assistance in bringing your vision to life.

We also offer space for all kinds of wedding-related celebrations, including engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, and receptions. Our dedicated team understands that getting married is a momentous occasion, and we aim to provide every couple with an unforgettable experience that’s as stress-free as possible.

Located in the historic Students’ Union Building on the University of Alberta Campus, the Horowitz Events Centre houses several exceptional venues to accommodate your ceremony and reception: Dinwoodie Lounge, The Atrium and Plaza, and Room at the Top. Our modern event spaces are equipped with everything you need for a seamless event.

Dinwoodie Lounge

Our largest venue, Dinwoodie Lounge is a versatile event space perfect for large ceremonies & banquets. The room features floor-to-ceiling windows that can either be curtained for privacy or flood the room with natural light & charming views of campus.

This venue is available to book year-round.

Reception - banquet seating for 75 to 225 guests

Ceremony - theatre-style seating for 50 to 300 guests

Cocktail Hour - standing room for 75 to 300 guests

Room at the Top

Located on the 7th floor, Room at the Top features an incredible 270° view of downtown and the river valley. This stunning venue can host your ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception with ease.

This venue is only available May through August.

Ceremony - theatre-style seating for 10 to 120 guests

Cocktail Hour - standing room for 10 to 140 guests

The Atrium & Plaza

This indoor/outdoor venue is easily transformed into a bright and modern ceremony space unique in the Edmonton area. In case of inclement weather, the Atrium can conveniently act as a rain-out location.

This venue is only available May through August.

Cocktail Hour - standing room for 10 to 120 guests

Our experienced catering team delights in crafting delicious fare! Our plated dinners are carefully curated to impress your guests, and you're welcome to choose your favourites if you would prefer a buffet. We also offer a wide selection of hors d'oeuvres, grazing boards, action stations, and midnight snacks to complete your day.

Let our capable bartenders serve you and your guests all evening long. We are happy to offer cash, host, and toonie bar options and can elevate your event with champagne service and table wine on request.
